This IBM brand spot, “Data Anthem” sparkles with light patterns and imagery to remind us that the world is alive with data, generated by everything from cars on the freeway, to patients in hospitals, to electricity on the grid. Infinite amounts of data that IBM technology can collect and analyse in our search for more ways to make the world a better, more sustainable place to live – to make a smarter planet.

Director, James Frost, worked with Lidar cameras to capture the valuable information of people, cars, and cities to give us important story moments to work with.  But how to use it was the real quest.  I worked endlessly to find interesting transitions between each data set to tell a compelling, seamless story through its behavior.  It was an amazing feat even to deal with the massive amounts of data we were given;  we had to write custom tools just to manage the vast amounts of it.
