I was asked by Hector Ayuso of OFFF to produce the Opening Titles for the 2010 OFFF Festival. It was an incredible opportunity as I had always admired the previous title sequence in the years prior. I spent a long time developing concepts and a design direction with the amazing designer/illustrator, Kim Dulaney. The special nature of this opportunity was the unlimited, open brief – make something amazing to simply introduce people and companies. I wanted this to be a landmark piece for the newly created design department at The Mill which I was spearheading so I knew it had to be something to hang my hat on. Once it was in production, I was able to get the CG team involved to help develop more ideas and to problem solve executions based on the initial art direction. Rob Petrie, Head of CG, helped tremendously by adding his own artistic interpretations of my concepts to really help bring this beast to life. It was a huge success that eventually garnered a Gold Lion at Cannes.
I have to give a shout out to my friends at Fall On Your Sword for such a gorgeous soundtrack!
